I Feel Pretty or Two More Awards

I have received two more awards! From fellow blogger killingsara, I received a One Lovely Blog award and from Carl Parmenter the Beautiful Blogger Award.

Here is a little about these two fantastic bloggers who awarded me these awards are:

One Lovely Blog Award

Killingsara. She writes about living with Dissociative Identity Disorder. In her own words, “She writes a LOT.” But her blog helps others understand this disorder and she provides a lot of interesting information helping others understand it. I find it fascinating.

The Beautiful Blog Award

Carl Parmenter and his blog “Insane thoughts from a Sane Mind,” is a kick. Here is what you will find on his blog, in his own words

So what can you expect from this little blog? Well, I’m your typical ‘humor’ writer I guess. I try to find the funny side in everything, and then I write it down in an easy to digest blog. The things I tend to write about aren’t limited either, it can range from top 5 lists (of which I write many) to dating advice and travel tips. Of course, I wouldn’t recommend you actually listen to any of my advice as I never listen to it myself.

Here’s what I have to do!

1. Include the award logo somewhere in your blog.  Done check out my sidebar, oh and this post.

2. Answer these 10 questions, below, for fun if you want to. I have done quite a few of these now and like killingsara, I am a rebel and wanted new questions, see below.

3. Nominate 10 to 12 blogs you enjoy. Or you pick the number. I know, I know, also see below.

4. Pay the love forward: Provide your nominee’s link in your post and comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been included and invited to participate. Done!

5. Pay the love back with gratitude and a link to the blogger(s) who nominated you. Done!

The New Questions: (If you want to use the original questions you will find them on Carl’s Post)

1. What kind of blogs do you read most? I love to laugh and I also have a deep respect for members of the military. In working with my father’s letters it gives me a new insight into what he went through during WWII so I like to read anything pertaining to that time I am writing about. (Dad taught me to respect our service people.) and lastly I love to read anything to do with dogs.

2. What is your favorite Ice Cream? Chocolate, with stuff in it like nuts and brownie bites. It use to be Bear Claw but they changed the recipe and now it is not my favorite anymore

3. What is your favorite food? The Chocolate Wunderfall at the Golden Corral, if I can’t have that hummmm Mexican food.

4. Do you prefer Boxers or Briefs? Boxers

5. What is your favorite quote? If the world didn’t suck we would all fall off.

6. Tell about us about your most embarrassing moment? When I was Flocked (Click Here)

7. What do you prefer, dogs or cats? Dogs, of course

8. Besides writing what is your favorite thing to do? Think about chocolate, or better yet eat chocolate.

9. Dark Chocolate or Milk Chocolate? Definitely Milk Chocolate

10. What is the best invention you have ever seen? I was watching a television program the other night and this dude made an ice chest that tossed the beer to you. Shot it right out the top. You did not even have to get up. Even though I don’t drink beer I know a lot of people who would love it.

 Now Nominate others……………..

First I would like to thank the very first person from Word Press who started following me, Three Quarters Today. I am not sure how she found me but I do know she lives in my father’s home state of Nebraska and through her pictures I can glimpse what my father may have seen when he lived there.

ipadartistry– writes, “A child of the 60s and 70s, you know the ” sex, drugs and rock n roll era ” I made it out alive with most of my brain cells intact. Black sheep of the family, always had to do things my way, mistakes and all. Making my way into middle age has been a along twisty road full of mistakes, conquests, enlightenment and the occasional i told you so moments. All in all its been a good life, i’ve learned a lot on the journey and it has made me the person i am today. Kinda twisted, energetic, moody, always looking to see things in a different light.”

Operation Gratitude Blog– I love the concept of this organization. They send packages to our service people. Stuff they might need, packages from someone when no one might send that soldier anything. I know how excited my father was in his letters to get packages from my mom. It is really a great thing. Thank you for your work and I applaud you, you really make a difference. Please stop by and show your support of the wonderful program.

The Ralphie Chronicles– A blog about a dog! Gotta love it! Sanna says  “I’m a self proclaimed Nerd. (That’s a positive to me.) I have a good ear for humor when I hear it and a good eye for fashion when I see it. I have great friends who I love to make laugh, and who I like to laugh with! I enjoy telling stories about real-life, mine included. Also, I really love telling stories about my dog, Ralphie.

Acidhistory- Provides some great pictures of The Royal Signals, 1946-47

My Journey Into Art– Ann does some amazing pictures, stop by and take a stroll through her gallery. I know you will enjoy it.

Brin, a dog from Afghanistan– “This is the true story of a stray dog who found in March 2010 on a road in Helmand Afghanistan.” I love this story and having rehabilitating a feral dog myself I know the challenges  Sally (his forever mom) goes through on a day to day basis. I admire Sally for going the extra mile to help Brin adjust.

Investigations into the Unknown and Weird– I love the unknown and weird so this blog is right up my alley! Love it!

The Lattimer Archeology Project– I love the process of uncovering history and that is what these people are doing. It is fun following them to see what they uncover. Here is their story “In the summer of 2012, Penn State Hazleton and the Department of Anthropology of the University of Maryland will collaborate on a multidisciplinary project exploring life in the coal mining company town of Lattimer, on the outskirts of Hazleton, Pennsylvania through archaeological research. Lattimer, was founded in the mid-19th century by the Pardee Company and was the site of a tragic labor massacre in September of 1897. This massacre was the subject of archaeological study by the project in 2010” Check them out!

Clotildajamcracker– Thrifty living debt free with classy style and forest style suburban gardening. Enough said.

Morning Story and Dilbert “This Blog is best read with a cup of coffee or tea and is designed to bring a word of inspiration and encouragement to your week day.“ Enough said!
