  2. This photo haunts me. I feel a nostalgia, yet a sadness. It reminds me of WW II, of course, and the awful live coverage we got at the movie theaters of bombers, the sky filed with parachutes, piles of dead bodies–soldiers and civilians. Thank you for sharing this.

    • I am not sure why there are so few on this street. Odd.

    • Thanks it was taken when my father was overseas fighting in WWII.
