Weekly Photo Challenge: Free Spirit #4

A Frenchman in war torn France, 1945, Not only a survivor but now a Free Spirit. From my Dad’s WWII Photo Album

  1. Is that from your Dad’s stuff?

    • Yes I should have clarified that. That is why to me he represents a Free Spirit. He survived the war this far.

  2. I love the basket backpack~

    • It is awesome! I think it is where he keeps his pixie dust! lol

  3. People had such hardships but still put on the suit and hat…what style, bravo!

    • Yes that is what captured me in this picture. I could not have been easy.

  4. I can’t help but wonder what he lived through….

    • I know, right? And what possessed the taker want to take his picture.

      • Something caught their eye over 60 years ago and now it catches our imaginations and curiosities. I love this.

      • Thanks! I do too!

  5. Great photo. What a wonderful time that must have been

  6. It’s amazing how many questions come to mind with an old photo. Such stories, I’m sure!
