  2. he looks so peaceful in that pic, but it’s hard imagine it would have been.

    • The place this fall in the timeline it would have been in the thick of the fighting so I don’t think it would have been all that peaceful. You can’t tell though he has such a peaceful look on his face. Maybe it was peaceful in his mind.

      • maybe that’s it peaceful in his mind or just in that moment.

    • It is one of my favorite’s although I do not know anything about the man other than his name.

    • That is what I think! A letter to his sweetheart!

  11. A fabulous example of a serviceman at rest. Such a contrast to his job. I love these sorts of photos.
