Something you may not know about me is I believe in ghosts. I have seen one with my own eyes, it is something you never forget. It was back when I was a child but it seems like it was only yesterday.
Eastern State Penitentiary (ESP) was high on my list of reportedly haunted places I wanted to visit if I ever got the chance. Last year I found myself in New Jersey and found out ESP was a reasonable distance away and when asked where I wanted to go it was one of my first thoughts. I fell in love with the architecture of this ghostly building. I took this picture of a hall that has not been preserved. I loved the curve of the walls and the arches of the doorways. If you can look past the things that happens in such a place you can see it’s beauty. I did not see a ghost while I was there but there is undeniably a feeling that you are not alone. I liked adding the green tint to the above picture. I kind of felt like I was looking through some ghost finder machine. Hummmmm do you see anything?
You KNOW I love this one! π

I thought I saw a ghost once then it turned out to be a hologram on a spiritual church interior wall. Not funny!

I’ve never seen a greenish ghost
I never hope to see one
But I can tell you anyhow
I’d rather see than be one
Hope you get to see your ghost (if you want, that is). π

I’m a skeptic — always have been and probably always will be. I definitely believe that the spirit leaves the body at death and sometimes, during excruciating pain or severe circumstances, but I tend to believe that random ghost/spirit spottings are less common than are claimed. Hauntings, I’m even more skeptical about. That being said, the day after my mother died, I “smelled” her. She wore the same perfume for 20 years and I was outside waiting for a ride when a gust of wind, accompanied by the scent of my mother’s perfume, blew past. Nobody else was around and most people wouldn’t dare wear my mother’s perfume, as it wasn’t the nicest smelling stuff, so I *know* it was her. Although I’m not skeptical about that one particular situation, I still remain a skeptic. π ~Vicki

I was a skeptic until I saw what I saw. We need skeptic’s if we didn’t we would have a lot of spiritual craziness in the world.

Great photo Nancy! ESP is definitely a spooky place and I’ve heard many stories about it being haunted, but I never experienced anything paranormal there myself. I love what you did with this picture.

eery! I’ve never seen a ghost but I don’t rule out the possibility either. Keira Knightly was on Ellen a couple of days ago and told of a time she came out of the shower in a nice hotel, and there was this guy sitting on a sofa just looking at her. There were other people in the suite with her, so she wasn’t frightened, just didn’t know him. When she suggested he was in the wrong room “poof” he evaporated right before her eyes. She knows she wasn’t sleeping because her mom came directly in the room and said “who were you talking too?” Weird things happen. I have no doubt that’s what she saw

I work at an Army Education Center and my coworkers are convinced that there are ghosts here messing with us. Supposedly, this building was a hospital during WWII. We’ve got doors slamming (and opening on their own), things getting moved, computer chairs being moved around, and people hearing voices that aren’t there. I blew it off most of the time, but then, things got moved around in my office when it just wasn’t possible for me to miss someone walking into my office.
Either there’s a ghost here, or I’ve got some very skilled and ninja-like co-workers who are going to a lot of trouble to mess with me.
