  1. A bittersweet picture–it has quiet beauty–like stratified layers of the Grand Canyon and at the same time depicts environment befouled by mine tailings.

    • So very true. It is located in a part of the desert where not many people go so not many see it.

  2. I love that area. A different kind of beauty, but it is definitely special!

    • It certainly is a different kind of beauty, not for everyone!

  3. Very painterly with a unique kind of beauty but at the same time I would have the same feelings about the environmental impact of these tailings over time.
