Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

The inside looking out

The inside looking out

This is the view through an old miners cabin in the East Mohave Desert. I am told the window made from an old Model T windshield which is why you have the curve in it. What a great view! This miner came to the desert lured by the talk of gold. He arrived there in the last 1930’s and ended up not going home, leaving his wife and job for this view and the hundreds of mines he worked throughout the area. In fact he is buried within a mile of the cabin in a small cemetery with better access. It is four wheel low to get here. Here on a hot day you can get an idea of what old Riley saw from his living room window. Amazing!
