Weekly Photo Challenge: Eerie

Clouds on Cajon Pass

Clouds on Cajon Pass

This weeks “Weekly Photo Challenge” is Eerie.

This is an interesting phenomena here in the high desert. As you can see it is sunny and blue here in the desert but if you were to travel 30 miles down this pass it is rainy. It makes me feel like the LA basin has disappeared, even though you are on a freeway it is eerily quiet.

I have never lived on a lake before so imagine my surprise when I woke up at my nephew’s house after everyone left for the day to a scene out of a slasher movie.

  1. OMG I was just looking at the picture on the lake and it looks like there is a skeleton trying to get out of the lake on the far side there. Looks like he has a white pin head. Yikes!

  17. Yikes, looks like a epic avalanche, I’d say head for the hills but that’d be backwards. Cool, did you drive thru the clouds?

Having lived at a lake, I’ve seen that eerie fog many a morning when the air is cooler than the water. Yes, it’s when Skeletons can be seen climbing out hopefully with my $150 sun glasses my neighbour accidentally threw in 20 years ago.

    • Oh dear sorry to hear about those sunglasses. I was surprised and creped out by the lake fog. We did drive through those clouds! It turns into fog as you go down. Thick fog.
